I want to again extend my greatest thanks and appreciation for this amazing weekend. The retreat was an eye opening experience and my only regret is that I did not do something like this sooner. I hope to do this again later in the year. Thank you again for setting me on this wellness journey. Guillaume

“Relax, heal & transform”
Your body is your temple and as such we have developed this retreat to help you awaken your consciousness and transform your relationship with your body, mind and heart. The food we eat plays an important role in loving and respecting ourselves by nourishing us at the cellular level. First, we must detoxify the body from environmental, emotional and physical toxins, then reactivate your energy through the chakras in order for you to shine.
Kundalini yoga is a physical and meditative discipline that combines asanas (postures), mudras (hand positions), pranayama (breath), and mantras (chanting). Through the practice of yoga, the dormant energy at the base of the spine is raised and travels up the spine, through the chakras, creating an overall sense of well being and a heightened sense of awareness. Another important part of kundalini yoga is to develop the neutral mind and its capacity for intelligence, endurance and integrity. As a result one develops physical, emotional and mental balance.
The practice of cleansing is considered a vital part of an Ayurvedic lifestyle. It clears accumulated waste and toxicity from the mind and the tissues and encourages optimal health.
These days, a periodic cleansing regimen is more vital to our health than before. Our bodies are being asked to process a seemingly endless barrage of harmful inputs such as environmental toxins, processed foods, unresolved emotions and psychological stress. Over time, these stressors can cause toxicity to build up in the system, deposit in the tissues, and compromise our health. A periodic cleanse helps to clear these accumulations from the body.
This particular cleanse that we will offer during the retreat is based on eating a monodiet of whole grains and kitchari, drinking plenty of detoxifying fluids to support digestion, elimination, and the body’s natural detoxification processes. This regimen supports the physiology by slowing the flood of harmful inputs and by providing the body with an important opportunity to rest, recuperate, and repair itself.
